At Copal, we recognize that our work to build a world-class finance and research firm must not leave the greater community behind. Therefore we are passionate in our commitment to share our success with society’s less fortunate. We are active in our search for new initiatives that aim to ameliorate the conditions in which, sadly, far too many people still live. Some examples of our various actions include

 
 
  • Independent Research that evaluates charitable organizations throughout India. Through this initiative we seek to achieve greater effectiveness for the donor and more meaningful improvement in the lives of India’s needy. Our research recommends organizations across a number of key causes, and emphasizes both larger entities and some lesser-known, smaller organizations. By identifying the best possible channels for accomplishing charity works in India, we are increasing the overall impact of charitable giving
 
 

  • Distribute food to Gurgaon residents every week. We are aware that free enterprise does not benefit everybody equally in the short term, so we are determined to make an immediate difference
 
 

  • Copal is a regular donor to PATH, a charity focused on developing healthcare technologies in the developing world. One of the reasons for selecting PATH is its endorsement by the Earth Institute at Columbia University, and its relation with Jeffrey Sachs and his work to end poverty in our generation. Copal donates to PATH's Catalyst Fund, which focuses on:

 
    Creation of prototypes of new health technologies for use in the       developing world
    Pilot projects to provide proof of concept for new solutions to       emerging and persistent health problems
    Transfer of technology to commercial entities that can take       production to scale
    Collection of needed data by supporting clearly defined studies       in the field
