Our Goal: recommend the organizations that are most effective in addressing the most critical challenges facing India's needy. By identifying the best possible channels for giving, we increase the donor's impact.

Our Coverage Agenda: In addition to our sector overview, we are launching coverage of five charities a quarter and are providing regular quarterly updates. We are recommending larger entities and some lesser-known, smaller organizations across a number of key causes.

Our Approach: We believe that the most effective organizations have a number of common practices that help ensure their success and distinguish them from their peers. We emphasize six key categories: disclosure of information, clear strategy, execution against strategy, resource allocation, quality of management and ethics.

Expected Impact: Our hope is that by applying the operating standards of a well-run business to India's non-profit sector, we are helping instill a greater sense of accountability on the part of charitable organizations to their donors and to those in need.
